Founded in 1999, Harvest Fund was the first locally-established fund company to manage assets exceeding 100 billion yuan. The company is jointly invested in by multiple securities firms, including GF Securities, Beijing Securities, and Jilin Trust.
The Transfer Agent (TA) System serves as one of three core systems for asset management firms, alongside valuation and investment trading platforms. It handles account opening, investor registration, subscription, purchase, conversion and redemption, while ensuring the integrity of investor account, share and fund data.
Overcoming limitations of the legacy system
The TA system has a large data volume, with a total of nearly 70TB. Users were concerned about whether independent database platform could meet performance requirements and potential performance bottlenecks after migration.
